Fixed old harness & took it upstairs, started feeding hay to cows at noon. Strong wind from northwest, 25 above.

Cleaned chicken coop, gathered last of the wood. Folks were wireing buildings. Cloudy chilly.

Pa took my cream. I drug some wood together with chain and horses. Pearl and I walked to the folks in evening, Frances on sled.

Frances and I home all day. Pearl went to church. Lormey fresh.

Note the name of the cow that came fresh is hard to discern and therefore uncertain.

38 above, cleaned chicken coop and barn. Hauled big load of chicken manure to field. Roost painted again D.L. 40. Wind northwest, Throat still sore.

Was to Pease with sled but not to annual creamery meeting today. Ordered car license. Eggs 13 cents. Bought quart of wheat germ oil. Whitie had 4 oz. of wheat germ oil.

I had sore throat. Frances Mae much better. Paid Bill Scheller, $5.00 for hay. Al and I hauled it home. 2 loads. 7 below to 30 above.

Bought hay from Bill Scheller. Roost painted coop with black L.40. Had party, 13 kids here. 10 below, clear sunshine.

Took my cream to the bridge. Pa took it to Pease. Got last corn stalks from folks. Harry was here, tried to sell me the farm.

Note: My parents were renting a farm one mile from the one on which my dad was raised. My guess is “Harry” owned the farm they were renting.
